Born in Australia in 1947. Lived in Australia most of my life. I grew up in an Australia in the 50's & the 60's that no longer exists. And watched Australia being destroyed by mass immigration, authoritarian (nazi) governments guarded by armed police, massive taxes, fines, levies, theft of all our so called "rights", politicians working for the American MIC & Jewish banks, wholesale destruction of a once vibrant manufacturing industry, young couples buying shit houses in horrible outer suburbs for a million dollars that they can neverpay off, and watching politicians retire with absolutely millions of dollars in their bank accounts. Congratulations you beer swilling footy following, subservient white Aussies.... You totally fucked a once proud & hard working country.

Sad but true, where and how does this end.

Ends in Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Everyone happily pacified. Loving their tyranny.

Orwell was wrong. Huxley was right.

It’s the same, if not worse in Canada.

Came here to say that much the same could be said of Canada.

I sometimes wonder if Canada isn’t slowly drifting toward being a failed state

Unfortunately, or should I say sadly, this perfectly describes Australia in 2025. I have always viewed Australia culturally somewhere between the UK and the US, and until the 80’s or 90’s we were heading towards the US, for better or for worse, but now we are heading towards Starmer’s Britain and it will take a Trumpian tectonic shift to save us

Spot on John. Nothing to be proud of, let alone be a "Patriot" of. This Prison Island will remain, until some external force for good changes things for everyone... "We Aussies" (aka We the people) have no cultural meaning to cling to anymore. It was scattered to the wind when immigration policies and Big Energy Corps came marching in. Maybe a Trump band might come marching in, but are they "Saints"? Maybe a New Coalition of all the minor parties that can agree, might have a shot, but do you think they can agree? ONP, Teals, A1... too many immigrants that want nothing to do with Aussies making noise and disturbing their "peace" aka obedient slavery.

Great article John. Your frustration is palpable - I can relate!

All the problems come back to our insane urbanisation rate (same with Canada). The old Australia still exists in the rural areas, the culture is still more or less in tact and most of the imperial ideology is rejected (gun ownership also rivals the US in some places).

One only has to read the histories of the 1890s unrest leading up to Federation (what Waltzing Matilda is really about) and the the great depression to see that the country has within it he power to fight and resist and create a cultural something. The catalyst always seems to be massive global and national economic downturn, which sends the fair weather people packing.

During the lockdowns there was barely any enforcement of anything in the deeply rural areas because the government simply doesn't have the resources to police the place. Of course this doesn't mean that many of the older more docile generations didn't bow down and comply as much as possible, but for anyone who didn't want to comply life was pretty cruisy.

Now of course rural Australians are a massive minority, probably now outnumbered by some urban immigrant groups. But the thing is culture comes from the land, not giant late imperialist cities than simply mirror the beige ideal of international global capital. History also shows that cities blow away with the wind once times turn really sour.

The big cities here are no doubt prisons, but half the reason for this is that the Imperial government has always been terrified of bush and it's stubborn refusal to be tamed. So

o out in the bush something will grow and develop over time, but for now times are tough, as the mask is off and the government is actively attacking us.

Australia and Canada are the same: highly urbanized and feminized. Your future is in the hands of easily-spooked atheist wine moms. Canadian and Australian men are all beta males who answer to Big Sister.

“Masculine republics give way to feminine democracies, and feminine democracies give way to tyranny.”

I am ASHAMED to be an Australian White Male. We are puling little effeminate whingers, paralysed by our Harpy-esque university educated White Female small L liberals, our psychic vampyres. We are ashamed of Real Men & import peasants and child soldiers of the Rainbow Peoples to Replace us. Our Oligarchs mock our corrupt minion politicians & our 5 media owners feed us pap. Australia 💩 we're standing in it... oh my back! Better get an NDIS handout & take some drugs...

Seems like Marxist Communist progression, aboriginal descendants and those identifying are given tax payers assets and make a fortune when someone starts developing any part of the country, then this reality you wrote rubs it all in,

"We’re welcomed to a country that we’re not really welcome in".

Excellent rant. The problem is, it’s even worse here than you describe. The heavy handed authorities do not represent us any longer. And no matter who we vote for, we get one of two choices, back and forth between failure and frustration.

While COVID and limits on free speech have gone to far, now all the special laws for Jews only limits people’s right (before people jump up and down, I accept the threats against Jews are wrong . Threats of violence is illegal and should be cracked down no matter who’s doing it. Police are just like the UK scared of upsetting the other group). To my point, I like the council laws on property etc. Australians are perfect, we steal without remorse, drink to much booze, and can take liberties how we build etc. Anyone who had had a shit neighbour doing what never they want, not considering others wouldn’t want things to be removed. Even consider what people do in school zones, speed, illegal parking. I want them to crack down more! And put more yellow lines and double lines. It is children’s safety.
